On the occasion of various exhibitions in Düsseldorf an article by C.F. Schroer about Tata Ronkholz
To mark the 1st Day of `Trinkhallen´ on 20 August 2016, the DKM Museum is showing photographs by Becher student Tata Ronkholz (1940-1997). As one of the first students of the class that later became famous, Tata Ronkholz dedicated herself to the transience of cities characterised by industry. The best-known and most extensive group takes up the theme of `Trinkhallen´ (Kiosks). In her photographs, Tata Ronkholz documents the idiosyncratic design of the small buildings, the range of goods on offer and their integration into the surrounding architecture.
